In the following study the researchers reviewed observational and randomized controlled trials looking for an association between cognitive decline, Alzheimer’s disease and omega 3 fatty acids.

They found evidence from 33 studies suggesting that dietary and supplemental omega 3 fatty acids have a protective effect against cognitive impairment (Wood AHR, et al., 2021).

Both observational studies and randomized clinical trials supported a protective effect of omega 3 fatty acids on cognitive function and a reduced risk of Alzheimer's disease.

The randomized clinical trials suggested a more pronounced effect in individuals with early and mild cognitive impairment.

The active ingredients EPA and DHA in omega 3 fish oil have been shown to be important for the brain and nervous system having a protective effect against neuroinflammation in addition to provide other benefits.

Taking omega 3 fish oil capsules of high quality with higher amounts of EPA and DHA is an easy way to help your brain.

Better Fish Oil

  • The Better Fish Oil comes in the form of triglycerides which offers better stability to the fatty acids and prevents breakdown and oxidation.

  • The anti-inflammatory effects of Omega 3 fatty acids are well known. Most people that eat a western diet can benefit from increasing the intake of Omega 3 fatty acid since their diet usually contains too much Omega 6 from vegetable oils and saturated fat from dairy and other animal sources. Most fish oils on the market are ethyl esters because that’s cheaper to produce. Fish oil in a triglyceride form is also better absorbed than ethyl esters
